How You Greet Your Day Matters!
When you wake up in the morning, what are the first thoughts that flow through your head?
Are they thoughts of joy or thoughts of “Damn, I’m tired.” or “I wish I didn’t have to go to work/school/whatever the hell you have to do”
I am adamant that the way you greet your day matters and determines how the rest of your day will go.
Start off thinking thoughts of stress and how tired you are, and that’s how it’s going to go.
Start off with thoughts of how you dread going to your job, dealing with traffic, hating the fact that you’re not moving up in the world, etc. and you’re going to get more bad.
Focus on bad and you get bad.
However, if you focus on the good, you get good.
Some may poo-poo this notion and say it’s Affirmation B.S. and to those, I say I’m sorry. I’m sorry because you’re missing out on a lot of joy by your cynic attitude…and that’s coming from a cynic and smart-ass bastard (me).
Just try it.
Tomorrow morning when your alarm goes off, instead of having feelings of stress or dread, be thankful. Be thankful that you woke up and are still alive. Be thankful that you have the power to determine how your day goes. Be thankful that you are blessed.
Don’t think you have anything to be thankful for or can’t think of anything specific?
That’s cool…just be thankful. Just say “Thank you” or “I’m going to have an awesome day” or whatever pops into your mind.
Do it on a regular basis and watch how your life transforms.
